Jury: Ira Levin (president), Cristian Budu, Donata Lange, Ewa Poblocka, Gloria Caputo, Olga Kiun and Sonia Rubinsky. In the semifinals, 11 candidates competed: Arthur Dante Novaes Teixeira, Caio Henrique Silva Vital, Caio Rodrigues Vilas Boas, Carlos Vogt, Ervino Jose Rieger Duarte, Ingrid Rodrigues Uemura, Jordan Alexander Gomes Rodrigues Pereira, Matheus Enzo de Faria Oshiro, Mateus Restani Furtado, Mattheus Versiani Cardoso de Melo, and Vitor Zendron da Cunha. Arthur Dante received the Revelation Award. In the final, three candidates competed: Ervino Rieger, Mateus Restani, and Ingrid Uemura. 1st place: Ingrid Uemura, who received as part of the prize a place to participate in the International Chopin Competition, to be held in 2025 in Warsaw, Poland.

[Access the program here] August 5-11. The 1st Toriba Musical Piano Competition was held in three stages: qualifying round, semi-final, and final. Of the 28 entries, 14 advanced to the semi-final stage and six went on to the final. Each stage featured a piece by Brazilian composers: Study No. 4 by Osvaldo Lacerda; Waltz No. 9 by Camargo Guarnieri; and Toccata by Fernando Cupertino. 1st Place: Lucas Gonçalves and Jennifer Alexandra (tied); 2nd Place: Estêvão Gomes and João Pedro Sigoli (tied); 3rd Place: Isabella Perazzo and Jordan Alexander (tied). Ceremony awarding the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Arthur Moreira Lima by UFRJ, with the participation of the rector and the director of the UFRJ School of Music. Professor Giulio Draghi gave a speech about the honoree's career. The session was held in a hybrid format – in person and online. Arthur watched remotely live, appearing on camera. September 27. September 27th. Final stage of the 1st National Piano Competition of the Pedro Gordilho Institute. The first stage was held via video, in which 35 candidates performed the competition piece, which was Rachmaninoff's Prelude Op. 3 No. 2. In this first stage, an honorable mention was awarded to the 10-year-old candidate Daniel Radice Nobre. Nine candidates advanced to the final stage, held in person: Arthur Dante, Daniel Rocha, Ervino Rieger, Estêvão Medeiros Gomes, Giovanna Sanches, João Pedro Josino Cid Camargo, Jordan Alexander, Matheus Oshiro, and Raul Bittencourt Dantas Terra. Estêvão did not participate. The winners were: Jordan Alexander (1st place), Matheus Oshiro (2nd place), and Arthur Dante (breakthrough artist award).
