June 4th. André Mehmari performs his Concerto Chorado for piano and orchestra with the Claudio Santoro National Theater Symphony Orchestra conducted by Claudio Cohen (2nd world premiere of the version with symphony orchestra). As an encore, André performed his arrangement of Beatriz, by Edu Lobo and Chico Buarque, on solo piano. After Mehmari's work "Contraponto, Ponte e Ponteio para grande orquestra," an excerpt from his Variations on a Theme by Ernesto Nazareth for orchestra (the theme used is the Brazilian tango "Fon-fon!)) was performed as an encore, with the composer playing the piano.
