Centenary of Clarisse Leite's birth. The Brazilian Piano Institute receives the 2017 APCA Award (São Paulo Association of Art Critics) in the "Musical Project" category, and Cristian Budu is awarded in the "Instrumentalist" category.
The 12-CD box set "Ernesto Nazareth - Complete Works, by Maria Teresa Madeira" wins the 28th Brazilian Music Award in the "Classical Album" category.
This is the first time a Brazilian composer has had their complete works recorded.
The 6-CD box set "Complete Works for Piano by Osvaldo Lacerda" is released, featuring pianists Eudóxia de Barros, Maria José Carrasqueira, Paola Tarditi, Paulo Gori, Renato Figueiredo, Sylvia Maltese, and Valdilice de Carvalho.
Pablo Marquine records the 39 Preludes by Claudio Santoro for solo piano on the double CD "Claudio Santoro - Complete Works for Piano - Vol. 1 Preludes".
