April 11. April 11th. Recital by Guiomar Novaes (at age 14) with works by Luiz Levy (1st Brazilian Rhapsody), Chopin, Alabieff-Liszt, Alexandre Levy (Brazilian Tango), and Liszt. Main Hall of the Escola do Povo, São Vicente (SP).

May 18. May 18th. Recital by students of professors H. Ruegger, Felix de Otero, G. Bastiani, Paulo Florence, and Luigi Chiaffarelli. Guiomar Novaes, at age 14, performed Alexandre Levy's Brazilian Tango and Luiz Levy's Brazilian Rhapsody No. 1. José Augusto de Souza Lima (brother of João de Souza Lima) performed Felix de Otero's Nocturne and Sinding's Spring Song. Edith Capote Valente performed Bach's Chromatic Fantasy. Olga Vergueiro performed Saint-Saëns' Souvenir d'Italie. Celina Branco (violin), still a child, performed D'Ambrosio's Romanza and Drdla's Serenade, probably with piano accompaniment by one of the professors. In the second part, the poet Olavo Bilac gave a literary lecture on the theme "The Fetishism of Brazilian Poets." Steinway Hall, São Paulo. July 31. Recital by Guiomar Novaes (at age 14) with works by Gottschalk (Grand Triumphal Fantasy on the Brazilian National Anthem) and Godard, as part of the National Exhibition commemorating the 1st Centenary of the Opening of the Ports of Brazil. São Paulo State Pavilion, Praia Vermelha Exhibition (inaugural ceremony). Rio de Janeiro.
